SERVICES
The success of any project is dependent upon well-defined project goals. Our work method is based on an in-depth analysis of Client objectives and regulations.
Programming should reflect the inherent organizational demands and should promote efficiency through the optimization of layouts, working environment quality, and other similar aspects. All specific programmatic requirements should be clearly identified together with their corresponding specifications, working operational processes and flexibility levels.
Many of our Clients value the advantages of a single contractual partner. As General Planners we are in a natural position, at the head of the Design Team, to ensure that there is a fully integrated response to the unique demands of the project at hand. This is a role we have successfully performed during several years.
Over 10 years of building experience guarantees that the appropriate scope of services are offered and the contracts of the assembled consultants or advisors are well defined and managed.
A successful project requires thoughtful space planning and organization. From leading discussions with user groups to making detailed observations of user activities, we believe that a careful study of behavioral and organizational patterns is essential.
ECA is familiar with working with demanding clients, and developing organizational, operational and management ideas. Through extensive consultation tools, such as functional and operational diagrams, layouts tailored to suit each Client’s particular demands are developed.
Given our experience in managing high profile projects and international design teams, we are increasingly required to provide our Clients with a broader counselling service, by selecting the different consultants and collaborators.
The purpose is to become the only contact required for the coordination of planning, programming, design, scheduling, costing and supervision of the project.
The analysis of Client requirements is a complex task. However, providing assistance to our Clients in choosing a site; selecting an appropriate schedule; testing local conditions; establishing relevant financial criteria; investigating acquisition options; identifying the need for additional specialists; and undertaking preliminary discussions with the authorities, results in a clearly defined design, which provides a reliable basis for a future project development.
ECA is used to working for German and Swiss clients and following their country’s practice, which requires architects to undertake full cost consultancy services. Evolving spreadsheets, benchmarking and excellent contacts with a broad range of contracting companies ensure that the cost control mechanisms we use are constantly reviewed in light of industry developments. If so required, this valuable experience enables us to bring added value and cost awareness throughout the design process.
